Spring Fling Poster

          You see that poster, yup it says spring fling, so This week shayna told everyone to make a spring fling poster this was exactly like the flyer that we did last week but bigger, this poster was graded like everything we needed to do in leadership so we all knew that we needed to make it nice and creative, or maybe only some of us knew that.
For this poster we were required to put certain things on it. We of course needed to put the title which was "it's time for... spring fling" in bubble letters so I used the cilloette cutter for that and we also had to include what when why who and where for me I really liked how it looked because it had everything on it and it wasn’t crowded, you could see all the important things needed to see and you could read it. I just really like my poster I really wont change things on it.

This week 1/23 - 1/27

This week was awesome! This week was the most normal week that we had for months, I don’t know there just seems to be a problem every week. This week my job was tv and lunch music. The first day we had was the 23^rd of January and it was a Monday we were going though the jobs that we had this week like evacuation where we were assigned, the spring fling poster, the flyer, and field trip so that was about it that day. Second day of the week 24^th of January, also a regular day except for the fact that we had evacuation. We went though it the other day so we knew our partners and I would say it went quite well. Second day Wednesday the 25^th of January, sheala assigned me to take pictures of band when they were at kaimiloa, I went on tv with chachie that brought controversy not only in leadership but also my period 3 and 5 class, during wiki mr.ing said he was going to make an announcement so I was running really fast yelling and he was right at the door and I slipped and he said I was running so fast. Thursday was the 26 of January, we had period 6 first and I needed to go to kaimiloa to take pictures, it took about 50 minutes and they were great, it made me even think why I quit band and I got offended when mr.hayashi didn’t explain what the oboe was because that was my instrument, ok so when I got back to campus they were alredy working on posters so I started on mines and I also finished that day. And last day of the week, Friday 17^th day of January, “fun fun fun fun looking forward to the week end” haha but also looking forward to bowling! And bowling was soo fun we got too eat we got to laugh we got to see people fall, we got to jinks each other even though we were in the same team. So that was kind of it, fun week, happy week, and yeah!

Today was our bowling field trip, I loved it! It was so fun, I haven’t been too bowling since last year also in January, it brought back soo much memories that I had last year. Today I was put with shayna, shanice, and melani, I still got mines as the boys team. We were headed to Waipahu because this time we picked them up instead of them picking up us. When we got them we headed to school field and it was crazy with all the students there, I thought it would be less then last year but clearly I was wrong, but after about 10 minutes we were there we got our shoes and we were ready to bowl, except one problem, we didn’t know how to work the sceen score thingy and we got helped from mr.ing then we were ready to bowl, my name was A, shayna was B, shanice was C, and melani was D. for the first round we didn’t do so good, we lost out touch, second was worst, we also got a lower average score but the third round was the best cause I got the highest school for ilima boys, and I gor a 91 I beat my old score for the 1^st and 2^nd game but not last years game. Well before the second round we ate I got chilly and cheese fries and a drink and it was soo good, but I was watching how they were making the other foods and they got bacon from a container, when they got the wrong order they threw back the bacon and I didn’t see if they were wearing gloves or not. Anyways that’s that after the 3 games it was it we went to the bus, said bye too Waipahu, waited in class for a little while and headed too period 5. It was a very fun day

Week 1/17/12 - 1/20/12

Whoa, what a day! Wait a minute, what a week! This week was very, I don’t know how to put it in words but, blah. This week was literally crazy and interesting. This week we had only 4 days of school because it was martin luther king jr. day so hooray for that. Monday we didn’t have school but that doesn’t mean we get to have a free day, yup that’s right, on Monday we had to do a letter to the legislature about the weed and seed and why they have to keep funding them. This was it on Monday, it was just that since there was no school. On Tuesday everything was great, it was a really good day and a good why to start the week, in the morning we wrote in our planners again for spring fling which shayna was announcing, and orientation which rhea was announcing. In the afternoon it was also normal, we all stayed inside during both lunches, he also explained to us about the letter and how some of us got confused with it, some of us wrote about our thanks to the weed and seed officers and program but actually we were suppose to write about asking the legislature to fund the weed and seed officers. He also told us it’s a short week so we should be all safe and make sure no one gets into trouble and no one is to cause any problems. Well we followed the directions correctly on Wednesday, well how bout those other days?
On Wednesday we were ok too, a great day actually. In the morning everything seemed to be normal, period 6 started as the first period of the day, it was crazy! Not yelling crazy but teasing crazy! I wasn’t really offended but I acted like it to Jolene and she was acting silly calling me a bitter because we were also working on our flyers and some of us were working on out final draft for the weed and seed letter. That day was so funny. I don’t know why but that day was really fun and it seemed as if there weren’t going to be any problems that whole week. I was wrong.
On Thursday, it was just the first day. We didn’t really notice it because everyone was having fun, playing around and things like that, and he even told us sorry if he gets angry at us because his team just lost a game and it seemed ok for him to be angry, he even told us why he didn’t got to his meeting this morning, because his team lost. Everything was going ok until we all came back form 3^rd period and things started to get a little hectic, period 2 kind of messed up on there writing and math on the envelope. It was ok the first time when errlyn came up to mr.ing and tell him that there was a P at the wrong place( P means planner). But they did it again for 6 more times and he even counted those 6 times as chances that they could have fixed the problem.
On Friday, that’s today, all I have to say is, wow, wow that it went up this far, I understand why mr.ing got angry because he game them 6 chances to fix the problem on the envelope and x another 50 chances in the morning, and another time when they went home and they still didn’t, how could they fix the problem if they got home well they do have blogs and mr.ing told them to do that and only errlyn did. Mr.ing wanted them when they came back from period 4 to fix the problem, they were just looking at how they wanted to do it and how others suggested that but mr.ing had a different thing on his mind, he wanted them to think of something original. They finally got it, I don’t know why flowers but yes. They did create the flowers. This was ok for now. I just hope the get the bigger picture and I hope for them and everyone else to look at the good things that they have done. Until next week, lets see hoe that goes.

Flyer!!!

Guess whats almost here….. CHRISTMAS! Hahaha nah jk, but it is almost SPRING FLING! You know the one like in the movie mean girls, well not that one. Haha the only different thing that we don’t have is the spring fling king and queen(I wish we did though), but other than that our spring fling has way more things. Well I don’t know why im talking about the movie mean girls so lets drop that. Ok so yesterday I was working on my flyer, guess what, (what) I did two! Haha one was just to make fun of shaynas one and one was my real thing! I really liked my flyer, I don’t know why probably because mines was so colorful but not taking all the attention away from the important things like the words. I was the first one to finish in my period so that was good so I could start on other things like my speech for orientation, I started it but I need to add a few things although I didn’t really have time to do this part I really had fun doing my flyer because it was like, I don’t know its really hard to explain but yeah it seemed so relaxing. Sometimes I don’t know if Jolene just looks at my flyer just to copy it, haha im just kidding but when I went by her computer we had the same rainbow and she even asked me where I got my unicorn from! Haha but no its not like that its just that we think alike. While I was still doing my flyer there was a lot of teasing going on, I don’t know what for but it was funny, I don’t know why I even get teased, I don’t even like her! And sometimes it could be really irritating beause she wont say anything like atleast say stop or something! Theres something called words you know and you should use them more! I don’t know why im going off topic but this was what was going on during period 6. It was a fun day. Well ttyl, till by next blog! Bye !

Weed and Seed Letter

We had an assignment and luckily I turned it in a day before the due date, yay! Haha ohk. So the assignment was for us leadership students has to write a letter to the legislature and we had to explain why they should keep funding for the weed and seed program. This letter I would say was for a good cause because we are helping police officers in our district for them to get money, I wouldn’t really say deserve, “the money they deserve” because there are other people out there who have there own opinions about them, but my opinion was, all for it, go! Go! Go! So yes I wrote a letter to the legislature saying why they should still be continued to be funded and what they did to help us out. I have to say the letter that I wrote took me forever. It also made me realize that I shouldn’t always worry about me and my needs because these officers coming to our school volunteer when they could just be home relaxing, they do it cause’ they want to. I really liked writing this letter because I really like helping people, I don’t know if the weed and seed people know that my calss was writing a letter about them but I hope that they appreciate it. But again this will help them in many ways, either financially, personally, or if there looking for an extra job they could use the letter that my class wrote to them and probably, you don’t know might get accepted to that new job! I don’t really know what im saying but I just want to sum this whole thing up, I would just like to say that its been a pleasure of mines to write a very important letter like this, this has been a really great deal too me, I hope that the legislature people read my letter and thanks again for the weed and seed officeres for doing so much for us! This week 1-13

Well what can I say, this week was filled! This week was great! This has been the first time this year we all went to school for five days straight, What a long week! Lets start off this blog by the first day of school. The first day of school was all good, we got to do our jobs and we got to start the week off kind of good, I say kind of good because the week before we had our week 1/6 blog due, we all did it but some was turned in late and some was turned in with not really good quality, its ok if we right short blogs but we have to make sure that we make it detailed and understandable. That same day we were assigned blog homework, we had too do 8 blogs talking about each and every change/rule, how it could help us, if we liked it not, and those other stuff, when I found out about this I was like “omg, are you foreal, in one whole day” hahaha I didn’t say it aloud but that was what I was thinking. The bloges that I wrote help me realize that each and every rule actually did help me in all the ways I cant think of. That blog took forever but I got it done anyway, it was complete and I was like yay! The next morning was a Tuesday, I don’t really have to say much about this day but FOOD! Yeah that’s right, food. This day mr.ing and his team brought in food for us because they won there game! Thanks for the food mr.ing and the basketball team! While we were eating we talked about blogs and that came to mind that we had another blog due that day, its about “if we were to take out a change, what will it be? Why?” this was the blog I was waiting for! I didn’t really think about what change I didn’t like, I always stayed on the positive but if I think really hard it gave me a chance to give my own opinion about the changes. I wont really talk about it but all I have to say is the change that I didn’t really care for, got taken out. The next day was funny, well ok too. This day was all the same, we got donuts form mr.ing so thanks again but also during advisory we got to eat sandwiches while listing to the teases of me living the computer to… URANUS. Not a funny joke, I was looking up the PLANET! I had a science brochure due so I was gathering my facts! It was just funny. Next day was Thursday, well duh! Hahaha but this day we talked about 6 grade orientation jobs we all got it and it was ok for me. I gave my sketch of how I wanted the poster too look like to Anne, I hope she draws way better then me, because you knw, I cant really draw, so I hope shes better. But anyways I gave her my sketch and it was time to plan for that day! I needed to get my speech ready and everything. Finally! Last day it was a long week but we lasted ok! In the morning we talked about spring fling and our jobs, and that was it then it was period 6, I don’t even want to tell you but it was crazy at the last 30 minutes of class, I was working on play list with chachie and there goes the teasing, then when Jolene got called to interview mr.lee (out principle) tamera picked a sone and we were just playing around she was like “omg I cant dance” and I was like just do any kind! So we did and it was so funny we started doing all kinds of dances it was fun. Prolly why mr.ing told us to dance infornt of the whole class it was so funny and I told tamerea stay by me cuz I was shamed and the door was opened too but ti was ohk it was funn and we all had a good laugh! Good times! This week was great, the not good times this week well, lets just say past is past and lets look at tomorrow!

If I Were To Take Away One Change....

          Can I take this away, maybe. Well maybe not! Today we had another chance to show that we want to be here, to show that we care, that’s why I’m doing this blog today. Today we had a choice to give our opinion on things and whether or not, remove one new rule/change that was inputted. We were allowed to choose any rule except the rule about lunch, that will still be there. I’m ok with it. This assignment is very difficult for me because I think that all of the other changes are good and I don’t actually need to complain about them, I could live by them. I get why these changes were put, these changes were put because he wants to help us, make it easier for us, and for us not to try and cause the problems that we had the last quarters. I don’t really know what too choose, its been like 30 minutes just now and I still cant think of anything.
Ok I think I finally got it, I think I would change #7 weekly grade checks even though I like this change because it could really help us keep up in class and to help us know what we have to do to get our grades up and things like that. Why I would rather get this change taken away then the others is because, this is on web grader anyway, this is just all the same, like a move this is just part 2, and plus isn’t it our responsibility to check web grader anyway? Right, this change kind of makes no sense at all because we already see it. Its also our responsibility to make sure we get good grades, that’s the part of the reason why we work during classes, because we know that we have a good grade for that class and we don’t need to bring it up because we’re all safe. We all know the consequences if we have a bad grade and do nothing to raise it up, you’ll get kicked our of leadership, I don’t think anyone wants to get kicked out of leadership, that’s why we don’t have so many people on probation because of there grades. This is our responsibility, one of the responsibilities the many responsibilities we have to be a good leadership student and we don’t need another reminder because we all know how to bring grades up. I do actually really like this rule but this is my opinion of this rule. If we were able to remove this rule then I think everything would be just as the same as they were the day before it was taken away or the day before yester day, or the day before that, it might even be the same as the day when there weren’t that much problems. A good example of this is if mr.ing tells us we have an F for his class, would you believe him? For me, OF COURSE! But we checked web grader, hmm we have an A, this is like the day when he said that AR was due last week Friday for weekly AR but we believed him without checking web grader. This is just like what people say can be different form what you actually see. We herd him and we believed him, we should have checked first. Mr.ing told us that this rule was meant to help us, yes I do believe that but like what I said we have other ways to check of how we’re doing in class, its just a reminder and something that we need to follow. If this change was taken out, it could always be better, we just need to try before we actually say that its not something that we should take out; you’ll never know unless you try.
Before I end this blog, I want to tell you what the time card was really meant for, like what I explained in my blog before, I thought it was just to keep track of what time this person is coming to school. Well I thought this and I was wrong, the real reason is for us to actually talk to mr.ing and get caught up with each other like wahts going on with our lives and his life, its like communication, its just for us to talk to him and say good morning. So far this really worked. I really like this change. Is there a way to bring this back? Well I don’t know, all I know is I really liked this one!

Change #8 Late Notice from the library probation

          The final change that we have for the rest of the year is……. Dun dun dun, late notice note from the library is a probation! Yes, its true, If you get those half sheet of white paper, then your in automatic probation,
These slips are to keep us from keeping overdue books, and so is this change. We need to keep track and remember the due date of our library books before they are over due, because some people might be someone waiting for that book in the library and cant get it until you return it. Its just like common scene, when you know that your library book is over due, what do you do with it, do you keep it with you longer, or do you turn it in, obviously turn it in right, and this is no different you just have to face the consequences that’s in store for you which is, probation, I just read other peoples blogs just to get an idea of some things and the thing that I caught that was very interesting was the part where it says we are a reflection of mr.ing and we shouldn’t forget that, I know we can’t because hes a role model and he wont do this and he doesn’t want us to do this either, to turn our books in late and its just plain selfishness if we keep it to our selves and not let any other person borrow the book that we had that is over due. This just makes us more responsible in our own way, by making sure we get it in on time. Well how will this help me? This will help me by being a more responsible person and turning the books in on time, its like late work, its very hard to turn in late work here in my school especially in leadership because mr.ing doesn’t take late work anymore and what will the library do? Do we need to pay for it if its really late, well I don’t know but if we don’t turn it in then it means we don’t care, and the last question I have to ask my self is, do I like this new rule, well what was the answers too all the other 7, isn’t it all yes? Its just because these are all our opinions and these all help us gain the responsibilities needed as a leadership student. Its been really nice writing all of these 8 blogs for y’all, well tiring but fun. I go t to express how I feel about these rules and how it will help me to become a better not only leadership student but as an individual student as well!

Change # 7 Weekly Grade Checks

          Well what do I know about change seven? Hmm well I know that it’s a weekly grade check, how about that, ok serious mode now! Change number seven is about weekly grade checks and this is for mr.ing, along with our parents, to make sure we’re doing fine in all of our other five classes, a weekly grade check is like a progress report but instead of getting it at the middle of the quarter we get it every week, once other students in our school get there progress report we’re on like our 4^th, remember the word that I hate, hmm let me think again, oh yeah, probation. The same rule goes for our report cards and progress reports well not the signed and turned in, but the D’s and the F’s, if we have thoes then, wel all know whats going to happen next right? Yes probation! But it also really helps us do our best in all the assignments we have, and helps us make sure that all of the work that we do is quality work and everything that we have to do is done. Will this help me? Yes it will, it absolutely will, we have more time studying then just playing around and doing nothing. And well do I like this change? Yes, of course I like this change, all of the changes we had is for us and for the better. Well all of this will help me, I guarantee it!

          Change number six is a problem that most of us have, and its talking and making loud noises. To change this up for the rest of the year, mr.ing decided to change it and put it as the first 15 minutes should belong to him and the planner and for us not to make one sound so that everyone could here unless we have a question. This goes to all of the 3 periods he has and it has to always be the first 15 minutes, its just so we know what will be going on this day, this week, this quarter, or this year, but it could also be all of thoes at the same time. What I think about this change is it’s a very good change that I could live with because I don’t really talk as much when im not needed to be talked too but the thing is that it doesn’t just give us a chance to finally keep our mouths shut but for us to actually here mr.ing and what he has to say, and for us to let our ears be open and not our mouths. What I really like about this is when it gives us a chance to ask question we ask as much questions as we have just to clear things up so there are no repeats of questions and for us to really understand whats going on. Well like the other blogs that I did, the question is, do I like this change, and yes, this is my six yes because I have no problems with the other ones, I like this because like what I said, im going to say it for the third time I belive, but it helps us to understand more clearly. Is there any downs to this change, hmm let me thing, no there are no downs with this change, well that’s just my opinion, and I raelly like this change a lot, I think this is one of my favorites agents all of the other eight changes that we have.

Change #5 Time Card

          Change number five is about time cards, this time cars is actually our planner and we give it too mr.ing when we arrive to our jobs and we can start working. This job is when ever we show up during morning or during the last five minutes of class we give our planners to him and he writes the time and tells us to go and do our jobs. I don’t really have much to say about this because its just simple as that we just arive to school at 7:15 get it sighed then work or at class we get it signed then set up then work its just that easy, I think this has been put on to the change list so we could actually see what time we get to the class and start working and so if we know that we came last then the next day we should plan for what time we should be at school so that we can literally pace our selves to when to arive at A101. How will this help me? Well this would help me because if I come too school late then mr.ing writes on my planner then I know the actual time that I got here and just like what I said earlier, I could pase my self because now I know that If I came late today then I need to come earlier tomorrow.

          This one I like! The weekly AR, the weekly ar was put on the changed list because many people, and I would say that included me at first quarter waited too long to finish there ar and did there ar last minute. For us we were told to look how much points we need to read and divide it but seven or eight because that’s how much weeks there are in this quarter, yay, but that seems so little bit for a whole quarter. But anyways we were told to do this so we can keep a track of how much we read every week like for me I only need to read about 4 pts a week so that’s a good thing. Same goes to the blogs we need to see on web grader when each one is due well that’s easy every week, this is the easiest to keep track of because its just reading and that’s it its really fast. Everything that we do here In leadership is for us and if we don’t do it its also a probation. This is a very good thing to have, some people might complain but im surly not, well because its easy, you don’t need to be good at reading you just need to be good at comprehending. So like the other 4 changes before this, the question that I asked myself for everyone is, do I like this change and the answer is um well, duh! This is probably the easiest change that I could deal with, some people may like it, some people may complain about it, and some people might just think that im weird for liking it but oh well, I just like to read and that’s me, its our chance to have our responsibilities every week, and again mr.ing gave this to us and gave us the choice that we needed,

Change #3 Probation- Late For Work, Miss Due Date

Change #3 probation- late for work, miss due date

          Rule three is called the word that we hate in leadership and its…… PROBATION, I hate that word, and I really really really, again hate that word. Ok well we are suppose to be at school by 7:15am and this doesn’t only apply for arriving at school but also arriving at your jobs during wiki and lunch 5 minutes before the bell but for after school sales its 10 minutes if we don’t then automatic probation, probation is if you don’t do a certain thing then we are put there which means we cant work or do anything unless we find a way to fix the problem. Also blogs, the one that your reading now is part of that probation. Well we do have to deal with this change if we like leadership and we want to stay her, that’s me, but if you do part its like saying you don’t want to be in leadership. Last week mr.ing told us after we went over all the changes that if we cant deal with the changes that we should sign out and also told us Mr.Ing said "Won't you rather be in a place where your happy then, being somewhere else where your not.” that is very true and I really like leadership so that’s what Im trying to do. Just like what I said earlier the two ways your can be put on probation is if your bloge one time, that’s a way you can be put on it, there are a lot more then this to be put on probation but these are just the two main things right now, and to be honest its very difficult, especially the part on getting on time to school because I usually come to school before 7:20, and we need to be here at 7:15 and he even said just one minute late is still late, its not me because I wake up really early like around 5:30am to take a bath and just to get ready, but its like my mom, shes not really a morning person, and she always likes to get mad at me when I wake her up to early and plus the ride from here to the school is like a 10-15 minute drive so its kind of hard for me especially for the people I live with. Ok so do I like this, the answer is yes I do, I might have a small problem with this but its ok because it just makes us have this responsibility to be here on time.

Change #2 Due Dates Through Webgrader

Change #2 due dates through Webgrader

          Would you rather have the due dates be told to you or, would you rather see it! This is change number 2, now we don’t have our due dates told to us, but now its just for us too see, now we get our due dates by checking on web grader, and lets be honest shall we! I’ll rather have my due dated be said to me and sent to me through web grader, but well what the difference its all the same, there wont be two different dates. This change was implied because we stated doing blogs in the first quarter but it was second quarter when he said there will be no late work accepted but still he lets us do our blogs the day after it was due before, but now that has changed because he always told us when it was due and still people don’t like to do it, I don’t know if there lazy or they’re busy, or they just don’t want to do it. I think this is a really good rule because we gain a responsibility to check on our own when its due, in the really world, I don’t think they will say do this and this is due whenever. I think you would know when its due, either if someone’s going to have a meeting with you or what ever. Well again, do I like this rule, hmmmmm I need to think, well I do like it but like what I said earlier I’ll rather have both because that was the option given too us before. And over all I will have to say, probably, yes, that I do like it but other people have other opinions. This has its ups and downs. Ups include able to check work that Is due the next week, and able to see how your doing in class, and also checking your web notes to see what’s going on around school. Downs because people tend to “forget” to check web grader and another things is that it wasn’t told too us either so we don’t know at all up until we check web grader. What I like with this is it helps us be more cautious with the deadline so its actually harder to forget, (I know I put forget in downs but you just be more cautious) and be more organized with our time. I am happy to be here in leadership, I really am that’s why im doing these blogs.

Change #1 lunch time

Change #1 lunch time

          The first change that I will talk about is the lunch time, its either inside the class during lunch or outside the class during lunch, well not just that lunch but for all the lunches we have for the year. Its just an easy question its if you want to stay or go out, that simple! This change is only for the 8^th graders, for me, I made the decision to stay in class during lunch because what’s the sense of joining something if you don’t want to be in it, right! Yes right! Well this change doesn’t really apply to me because we were told by mr.ing that at least one of these changes apply to us in any type of way. I say its not because im always inside anyway, and before we had this rule I didn’t go outside. Well the real question is, do I like this change? The answer is yes, I actually really like this change, the reason being for students who always go in and out of the classroom for I don’t know what reasons, don’t bother the class room when they walk in, especially if its my advisory time and specially when someone walks in the door yelling and talking really loud and laughing, it just irritates me because I can’t work and concentrate at all, and that was the reason why its been but up as a change/rule because of bothering during advisories. To be honest I think we are really luck to have a choice whether its for us to stay in or out, because some students don’t have the choice to do what they want, and they always have to have the choice that the teacher tells them to pick, and we should just appreciate what mr.ing gives us. And changes aren’t for us to have a harder time, its for us to make life easier.

weeks 1/4-1/6

This week we had only 3 days of school but it was full of everything. There were so many things to deal with for just these three days. For me the first day of school was pretty good so far until 2:10-2:20, but first we talked about rules and they were really good for me and also everyone missed there job so theres a down side but the rules anyway I think this will help us a lot. lunch was ok also but most of us came early because we all wanted to stay inside the class, And then after school sales, we were done, but someone forgot to put away the other ice cream and also opened the door when not suppose to and that’s how it led to a bad week. The second day of school was really bad the samethings went on but a lot were fixed also, people got off probation, I got to work again and that was really good. the things that most of us needed tot do inorder to get off probation is to work in the library, pick up rubish, or do anything that doesnt have to do with anyone taking over another persons job and this was all good. Third and the last day of school was even better. I felt like its been really long till we had that kind of morning. But It also hit the point where people didn’t do there jobs and people not wanting to do there jobs. like for example the hoss elections and doing intro but its ok because we all know we can overcome thoes problems, its been a really tough week I hope it will be a better week for us next weekfor us. and all the changes imply on all of us except one person but thats ok because there maybe no problems anymore yay! and see you all for next weeks blog, bye!

hero oral presentation

Today is January 6, 2012. My very first blog this year. Today’s blog is about the activity that we had this this morning and that is our hero oral presentation. We had to answer three questions one was to say who is your hero, why there your hero, and what you learned from this experience/activity that you did, ( you also needed to say a bit about your hero but that wasn’t a question.) the first person to go up was shanice, then rhea, then Jolene, then shaela, then tamera, then it was me. I didn’t know what to expect, I had many things to say about my hero and just to think of it she really is my hero because if she wasn’t I wouldn’t know what to say. I told everyone that my hero was my sister, just like Jolene, rhea, and hieghlee. I talked about how she created a learning environment for me, not about school or anything but just about me and how I act. I also talked about how we always fight in so many ways like two cats and dogs arguing, I always use this example because that’s what my mom always says especially when we fight on the stairs my mom uses “theres cats and dogs fighting on the stairs.” but anyways I also explain how I really like the way she lives, she doesn’t depend on anyone but her self and how she could pay for college on her own because she makes her own money. This is the way I admire her and she is a great role model for me and I also said I wanted to be like her and provide for myself. What I said about what I learned is that I learned new power point skills and how you can find your real hero and thoes could be ether one of you family members. I really enjoyed this activiy because it help me express what I fell about my hero and it helped me express what I finally didn’t see before, that my sister is the real person that can help me get through life.
